Dr. Darrice Collins, AACFAS

Dr. Darrice Collins is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon. Dr. Collins was raised in Dayton, Ohio and received his undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University. He then completed a foot and ankle residency at the Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio. While at the Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health, Dr. Collins was comprehensively trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including diabetic limb salvage, advanced wound reconstruction using orthoplastic techniques, reconstruction of congenital and acquired foot and ankle deformities, and total ankle replacement. During his residency, Dr. Collins served as chief resident during his final year. After residency, Dr. Collins completed a fellowship at the Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers, Florida. There he received advanced foot and ankle training with an emphasis on the treatment of sports medicine injuries, ankle arthroscopy, and foot and ankle trauma.

Dr. Collins is fully licensed by the Georgia Medical Board to practice foot and ankle medicine and surgery and is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Dr. Collins treats all conditions of the foot and ankle, with a special interest in pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, sports medicine, and primary and revision total ankle replacement. He is trained and certified in the major total ankle replacement systems that are approved for use in the United States by the FDA. Dr. Collins is dedicated to providing his patients with up to date foot and ankle care utilizing evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Collins enjoys all professional sports, Ohio State University football and basketball, traveling and spending time with his family. Dr. Collins is excited to bring his foot and ankle expertise to the Rockdale and Newton County communities and to serve its residents with all their foot and ankle needs.
